Hisense enters Kuwait Market, signs Al-Bahar Electronics as an official distributor





Set to launch 2022 product range along with FIFA exclusive products in Kuwait along with Kuwait’s well-established businesses on-board to solidify the brand’s market position



Leading consumer electronics and whitegoods manufacturer and sponsor of FIFA world Cup 2022TM, Hisense, is set to strengthen its business portfolio by entering into a strategic agreement with Kuwait’s leading business conglomerate Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar Group (Bahar Al-Kuwait Group – BKGH) and consolidate its position in Kuwait market.


Founded in 1937 by Mr. Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar, the diversified group has been operational in the Gulf region with experience in consumer electronics, retail, enterprise technology, FMCG, shipping and other sectors. Over the years, the group has established alliances and partnerships with some of the world’s leading brands, which in turn has enabled them to bring the best and latest market solutions to Kuwait.


Under this agreement, Al-Bahar Electronics will distribute and support Hisense’s products and offerings across categories that include the consumer electronics portfolio like TVs, Laser TVs, Home Appliances and Air Conditioning. Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar group will also provide full service and support to both consumers and the channel partners.


Hisense is the official sponsor of the global sporting event FIFA World Cup 2022TM, making it even more exciting to kick-start aggressive sales and consumer activations in Kuwait. This will help both the companies to take a step forward towards building its brand proposition in Kuwait.


The agreement was signed by Mr Jason Ou, President of Hisense Middle East and Africa and Mr Ihab Al-Khatib, Group General Manager for Al-Bahar Kuwait Group Holding (BKGH) at one of Kuwait’s iconic venues – The Radisson Blu in the presence of key dignitaries from the consumer electronics industry and associates from Hisense and the Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar group.

The wide range of Hisense consumer electronics and home appliance products will be distributed across all segments of the market including power retailers, hypermarkets, cooperative societies, and other retail outlets. This partnership seeks to build the market leadership for Hisense products in Kuwait by expanding the retail network, providing more consumer touchpoints, and enhancing the reach and visibility of the products in Kuwait.
